If you are a Senior Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will join an engineering team providing support and development for the Pressure module assembly processes with a focus on process improvements and equipment development. This Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will provide operations support, identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing issues, and work on short/long-term duration engineering projects including the design and implementation of custom automated systems. This individual will also work closely with other functional groups and world area manufacturing sites with a focus on driving solutions to best serve our internal and external customers.
  • Apply technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and moderate job experience, in the development and improvement of products and/or processes
  • Develop or apply new technology/automation or extension of current technology/automation with some originality and moderate technical risk
  • Make data driven decisions related to processes and equipment to improve safety, quality, service level, and reduce costs
  • Solve production problems and lead process improvement efforts
  • Act as project leader on major programs or projects which require development of detailed plans and schedule milestones to achieve timely completion of program or project goals
  • Interact frequently with other functional groups, internal customers, and vendors coordinating technical and/or administrative matters
  • Administer technical procedures including process and work procedures.
  • Assist in training/mentoring of entry level engineers
  • Participate and possibly lead a cross functional team for Lean and Six Sigma improvement opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an engineering school
  • Minimumfour (4) years of applicable experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Mechanical or IndustrialEngineering Degree
  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • Previous Manufacturing experience
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
