The Enterprise Agile Coach possesses a lean-agile mindset forged through years of experience scaling agile practices across globally distributed software development teams. This position is embedded within the organization to provide agile thought leadership across a wide array of modern delivery initiatives. The Enterprise Agile Coach will lead and mentor agile specialty positions including Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile Coaches who, collaborate across teams and geographies as needed to ensure timely delivery of Ingram Micro's strategic road map. This position collaborates with department leaders to proactively identify and resolve process deficiencies, bottlenecks and organizational constraints impeding Ingram Micro's ability to deliver predictably.

Your role:

  • Support the delivery of Ingram Micro's eCommerce road map

Organize and own cadence-based planning system to enable quarterly capacity planning and maintain alignment with strategic road map. Train, support and coach development teams on agile practices using industry standard training curriculum, custom agile workshops and in-person situational coaching. Maintain normalized estimation practice. Collaborate with Product Managers, Dev Leaders and Architects to distill high level requirements down to small batches that can be delivered iteratively and incrementally. End Results - Data driven and predictable development forecast.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of globally distributed agile specialists

Recruit, hire and manage product owners, scrum masters and agile coaches. Provide training, host team meetings and maintain consistent one on ones. Support the team, as needed, to resolve conflict and remove impediments that require escalation. Set individual goals and evaluate performance regularly. End Results - High energy development environment focused on quality, rapid learning cycles and time to market.
  • Metrics

Gather and report metrics that demonstrate development predictability. Use metrics to drive improvements across agile teams. End Results - Quantitative measures for development predictability and team performance.
  • Continuous Improvement

Identify and analyze data and behavioral trends that influence Ingram Micro's ability to deliver predictably. Collate information quarterly, into an actionable report. Collaborate with leadership stakeholders to prioritize continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain Continuous Improvement road map. End Results - Visibility into continuous improvement backlog. Transparency into continuous improvement road map. Alignment on cross-team continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring to the role:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. MS Degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience leading and managing technical professionals.
  • 10 years building agile teams and leading software development practices in a fast-paced distributed environment.
  • 5 years implementing agile frameworks such as Kanban, SCRUM, SAFe.
  • 3 years of experience as a contributor on an agile team.
  • Able to transform multiple teams from hybrid and waterfall software development practices to Scrum and Kanban where applicable.
  • Extended track record of delivering training in a manner that ensures knowledge transfer.
  • Track record of resolving impediments that exist outside of the team environment. For example, working with functional managers to prepare the technical environment for agile teams, or align agile team structure to ensure success.
  • Strong track record of delivering on commitments.
  • Proven ability to earn trust and positively influence people you work with.
  • Proven ability to align teams toward a common goal.
  • Experience collecting, interpreting and communicating team metrics depicting progress/maturity.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; experience communicating at all levels of an organization, including effective communication with executive leadership.
  • Pragmatic, practical approach to Agile Coaching; experience meeting teams and leaders where they are in their journey.
  • Experience successfully launching SAFe and Release Trains.
  • Experience coaching Product Owners, Product Managers and other senior leaders.
  • Understands systems architecture, CI/CD, and automation practices.
  • Experience hosting large scale agile ceremonies, system demos and stakeholder meetings.
  • Experience with emerging software development practices such as SAFe 5.0, Spotify, Shape Up.
  • Experience with ALM tools such as Jira, Confluence, XRay, Portolio for Jira, PlanView, BitBucket, TFS.
  • Experience building a culture of collaboration, innovation, learning, and continuous delivery of value to customers and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, research, presentation and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborator with professionals at all levels in global geographic locations.
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
