Position Summary:

This dynamic leadership position reports to the Director, Accounting and is responsible for the administration and management of Illuminas global stock programs. This position requires strong cross-functional and global collaboration skills with process improvement expertise. Effective change management skills are required with the ability to drive issues to resolution.


  • Manage the Companys global equity compensation plans and serve as the subject matter expert and resource.
  • Oversee equity and cash compensation programs for Board of Directors
  • Influence cross functionally to build and maintain partnerships for global compliance, payroll, taxation and reporting requirements for equity programs, including income sourcing and tax withholding processes for mobile employees.
  • Accountable for maintaining proper internal controls and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for equity processes, ensuring documentation is in place for internal and external audits.
  • Lead stock education programs and communications for employees, maintain FAQs and resource documents on intranet.
  • Manage one to two people and oversee day to day stock plan operations and monthly-close process, acting as a mentor and advocate for continued growth and development of the team.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager with broker, transfer agent, third party vendors, and consulting firms.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Compensation and Accounting to provide necessary reporting and reconciliation of stock programs and annual proxy disclosure requirements.
  • Develop and implement procedures and practices to enable efficient, accurate and timely processes, proactively seeking to automate and streamline processes with internal partners
  • Partner with Legal on creation and approval of 10b5-1 plans and enforcement of the Insider Trading Policy and compliance to trading window and preparation and filing of Section 16 forms.
  • Partner with members of the CPOs organization to support expats and the global mobility program.
  • Administer equity programs in China based on the process approved by China State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), partner with local colleagues on processes and filings.
  • Manage global enrollment in employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) and purchase of shares.
  • Oversee processing of RSU and PSU grants, agreements, releases, cancellations as well as the
  • compilation and delivery of annual 6039 statements.

  • Experience managing, leading and mentoring a dynamic team and colleagues.
  • Broad experience with different equity programs, including RSU, PSU, ESPP.
  • 8+ years of relevant global stock plan administration experience in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, growing global environment.
  • Proficiency with Equity Edge Online, Microsoft Office, experience with remote presentation systems
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees and internal stakeholders with solid written and verbal communication skills, maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to understand and process complex and unique projects utilizing independent decision and judgment.
  • Background in accounting, including experience in and understanding of stock-based compensation and financial reporting a strong plus.
  • Work independently, take initiative, resourceful, organized and detail oriented.
