Job Summary:

Kimberly Clark is currently recruiting a Sr. Market Strategist at our Roswell, GA location. We are looking for someone with a high level of analytic and strategic capability with significant exposure to all aspects of the consumer-packaged goods industry. The role of the successful candidate will be to analyze all aspects of the supply and competitive market landscape in order enable K-C to develop a competitive advantage in its development and deployment of global category procurement strategies.

The incumbent will work with senior leaders in the Global Supply Chain (specifically Procurement), who expect visionary leadership, real-time analysis and competitive insights to win in the marketplace. Using advanced methods of industry research and analytics the incumbent will generate insights into competitive behavior and appropriate response strategies for Kimberly-Clark.

This person should be highly organized with the ability to multi-task, potentially working on several projects or categories at the same time. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with leaders and customers is an asset. The aptitude to work tactically towards deadlines while understanding the strategic needs, relationship building skills at all organizational levels, willingness to be a team player and the right temperament for working under pressure will further strengthen the application.


  • Lead advanced market and competitor analytics to drive category strategy development, analysis and deployment, cost optimization, and analysis for large sourcing initiatives.
  • Provide expert counsel and advice in competitive strategy leveraging diverse sources of data in large scale projects.Data sources include but are not limited to Nielsen market share data, pricing data, Euromonitor, Annual & Quarterly reports, investment banker analysis, industry articles, research and other primary and secondary resources.
  • Proactively generate insights into sourcing strategies of key competitors and provide structured proactive thinking on potential business responses for Kimberly-Clark.
  • Analyze sourcing decisions and provide a view as the advantage being obtained by KC.
  • Collaborate with Global & Regional Category Managers to execute strategic sourcing events as assigned.
  • Add personal insight, galvanize discussion and debate across the organization on key strategic issues, generating ideas and creative frameworks, and use a combination of facts, judgment, and personal impact to build credibility and influence outcomes.
  • Proactively take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to continuously improve Kimberly-Clarks procurement performance.


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a consumer orientated industry (CPG, Retail).
  • Extensive experience and knowledge with advanced excel as well as experience with other data tools: Tableau, statistical tools, SQL, etc.
  • Significant business acumen and analysis experience in which key findings are translated into strategies to support business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability in hypothesis building, advanced modeling and regression analysis.
  • Experience in leading global, cross-functional projects leveraging analytics and insights from various sources.
  • Significant project management experience from conception to deployment and results tracking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including strong PowerPoint / deck-writing skills; capable of catering a message appropriately for a given audience.
  • Brings structure to ambiguous problems and possesses the ability to frame key questions and develop a work-plan to answer them.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is performance driven, enjoys working in a team environment in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, M.S.).
  • 10 years of progressive experience in a consumer orientated industry (CPG, Retail) in business analysis, functional line experience in Marketing, Finance, Operations, or Sales analytics with a history of demonstrated success.
  • 3-5 years of management consulting experience in a leading strategy firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of consumer industry participants, dynamics and trends, and KPIs.
  • Ability to manage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in end-to-end strategy development and the ability to recommend adjustments to existing strategies and lead action and pivot based upon new learning and changes in the competitive environment.
