Primary Function of Position:

  • Provide guidance to US Marketing Team(s) on best practices for event management & communication strategy (includes in-person, hybrid, and virtual events)
  • Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the US downstream Marketing event communications. Campaigns may include advertising, social media, digital event communications, internal event communications and materials specific to event/program activities
  • Develop and manage US Marketing event communication calendar & plan
  • Identify deadlines and manage work-load accordingly, including prioritizing tasks, and coordinating and communicating activities with Creative Services and Brand team through internal Workfront process
  • Manage all logistics for tradeshows including show services, shipping, coordinating marketing materials and collateral, badge registration, etc. for tradeshows 10x30 and below
  • Attend and manage all logistics for tradeshows in collaboration with our Exhibit House for all tradeshows 20x20 and above
  • Plan auxiliary meetings during tradeshows and marketing events (e.g. pre-show strategy meetings, focus/user group meetings, post grad courses, symposia) as well as attend key regional conferences to support logistics on-site when needed (event set-up, physician registration, AV and F&B coordination on-site)
  • Prepare and ship portable displays & mobile systems to regional conferences as requested by the sales force and marketing
  • Responsible for budget oversite and expense tracking for all marketing events
  • Venue sourcing and housing block management
  • Create travel and registration websites for marketing events
  • Manages tradeshow and marketing event leads and reports a summary report with key insights
  • Organizes event marketing project meetings with cross-functional stakeholders including post-event debrief that captures what worked well and areas of improvement
  • Supports the planning and execution of Intuitive led meetings e.g. National Sales Meeting, users conference, and executive forums as directed

Skill/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing/communications and/or administration
  • Minimum 8 years of tradeshow and/or event management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and One Note
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and report out key insights
  • Strong organizational & project planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with and manage cross functional teams to reach common project goals
  • Vendor negotiation experience
  • Travel required 30% a year. Work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Ability to perform some manual labor and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus, not a requirement
