Job Description


We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Product Developer to support our FDA regulated Class II medical device initiatives. This individual will be responsible for working with the broader Class II product development team to execute initiatives as needed from development through execution and in support of current business. The role reports to a Senior R&E Manager and will be located in Neenah, WI.


  • This position plays a critical role in executing product development for Class II within the AFC R&E organization. This person will work closely with their Class II team, but also with other Scientists and Engineers across Personal Care R&E.
  • Support the development and implementation of Product Specifications, Leverage Rapid Learning Cycles, execute Knowledge Transfer and Technical Readiness for Class II initiatives
  • Lead product efforts on innovation, renovation, and current business projects
  • Coordinate with legal, regulatory, quality, marketing, product supply, safety, etc, to fulfill all requirements associated with Class II product development.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills providing work direction to a multi-functional team including internal and external resources.
  • Support programs as needed with travel, up to ~25%, including travel to locations such as Nogales, Mexico, Conway Arkansas, and Litovel, Czech Republic.
  • Manage product development timelines, scope and discretionary spending against agreed to targets.
  • Considered a subject matter expert in product development in a regulated environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a bachelors or advanced degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline froman accredited College or University.
  • 8 years+ of successful experience in a Research and Development.Proven track record of ability to resolve complex problems for development initiatives and managingdetails in a regulated environment.
  • The ability to lead groups in a collaborative cross functional structure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Significant Product development experience including strategic decision making with FDA Class I, Class II, or Class III Medical devices.
  • Experience with ETQ or related systems and experience in documenting in a regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in the consumer goods product development cycles
  • Product Knowledge of Tampons, Pessaries, Pads and Liners
  • Experience and thought leadership in Process Validation, Design Controls and Risk Management.
