Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with a passion for designing repeatable delivery process and implementing frameworks that enable projects to flow quickly and safely to production with user feedback loop capability. You are regarded as an expert with not only strong process and automation skills, but an approachable style as well. You are proactive, always seeking ways to improve and simplify process through automation.

Essential Duties:

  • Implementing and designing of data modeling, dimensional & relational concepts like Star-Schema, Snowflake Schema Modeling, Fact and Dimension tables; experience in Extract, Transform and Loading process of data
  • Regularly apply advanced data analysis skills to understand detailed data flows between systems and within systems for their domain
  • Identify recurring systems issues, conduct root cause analyses, and provide metrics as required
  • Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Provide development leadership (Architecture, Design, Development) for medium to large sized projects and maintenance on our client facing online and mobile banking systems.
  • Drive department best practices, guidelines implementation and adhering to standards.
  • Experience building and maintaining large software platforms.

  • Provide technical and development leadership (Architecture, Design, oversight) for business solutions. This includes technical co-ordination and decision making for project work.
  • Drive technical designs to consensus and approval by Architecture Review Team. Design and develop enterprise solutions for specific business need that provide frameworks, interfaces and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements.
  • Performs impact analysis of proposed changes on existing architecture, capabilities, system priorities, and technology solutions; looks for additional solution options or trade-offs. Identifies cost/benefit implications of proposed solutions (e.g. people, processes, technology, strategy, finance).
  • Creates and maintains application architecture and related assets. Be the go-to person for development team on architecture discussions. The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with software engineering and production support (L3 and L4)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in creating packages to extract data from Excel, Flat file, Oracle, DB2, Sybase to MS SQL Server by using MS SQL Server DTS and SSIS
  • In depth knowledge in performing various business/data analysis using QuickSight , Power BI, Excel Stat-Tools, Tableau, SAS Data and Visual Analytics tool
  • Ability to support a myriad of financial applications including FP&A and Treasury applications
  • Hands-on experience with Restful Web Services, web applications, JSM, transactional databases, and NoSQL databases
  • Extensive experience in Tableau and other reporting tools development
  • Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Stored procedures and functions
  • Working knowledge on AWS Cloud or Azure Infrastructure
  • Experience in performance tuning
  • Experience in creating packages to extract data from Excel, Flat file, Oracle, DB2, Sybase to MS SQL Server by using MS SQL Server DTS and SSIS
  • Solid knowledge of Oracle SQL, ETL processes, multidimensional analysis, databases, data calculation, and aggregation techniques
  • Experience with enterprise integration services/solutions
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot production issues
  • Experience working in banking environment
  • Experience in implementing and supporting of SaaS applications
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of SQL
  • Experience with systems implementation projects.
  • Experience with development coding and relational database (SQL) queries
  • Advanced knowledge and analytical skills of systems integration through web services, ETL, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Experience with production and disaster recovery systems/application support
  • Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks, initiate and conduct meetings with team and peers
  • Able work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to streamline complex requirements to simplify Business Processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels. Demonstrate good organization, presentation and customer service skills
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies in a distributed team environment is a plus
  • Working knowledge on AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Experience in recommending best practices for building data visualizations using Tableau
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to develop and implement analytical data models and dashboard and reports using Tableau to enable customers to analyze data and make business decisions
  • Must be willing to collaborate and engage with a global team which will involve some early morning or late evening meetings
  • JIRA/Confluence
  • Experience implementing solutions using Agile/Kanban/Iterative delivery methodologies

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of core CS concepts such as: common data structures and algorithms, profiling/optimization, cost optimization problems/machine learning
  • Prior experience with regulated financial organizations
