Administers, coordinates and conducts training and educational programs in connection with the planning and implementation of human resources development training activities including to program design, presentation and evaluation.
  • Actively participates in the planning, development and delivery of course curriculum for university staff, including new employee orientation.
  • Facilitates the HR training process by providing administrative support including but not limited to developing, designing and/or coordinating training materials and/or training aides/tools, scheduling, coordinating courses and use of equipment space and facilities; preparing appropriate forms, correspondence, memoranda, and records, etc.
  • Assists with conducting training needs analysis to define university and individual needs, as well as identify problems and areas of concern; researches and gathers data pertinent to the training process and assists with the evaluation and measurement of program effectiveness.
  • Assists in the design and delivery of customized training courses for campus groups/departments as requested or assigned.
  • Conducts leadership training courses for University supervisors and managers; assists Generalist team with fulfilling the leadership training needs of client base.
  • Participates in the coordination of Leadership Forum and Leadership Institute, including but not limited to planning, promotion, organization and content.
  • Utilizes PeopleSoft to maintain a master schedule of training programs; schedules participants for courses as needed and updates records regarding course attendance and/or information pertinent to training; makes suggestions in regards to system improvement.
  • Participate in development and facilitation of a Diversity Training curriculum designed to meet the needs of UH staff.
  • Coordinates the promotion of training programs through correspondence, HR's website and university news articles.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Bachelors and 5 years experience.

    Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

    Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.

    Additional Information/ Preferred Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience delivering training programs to senior level leadership.

    • A minimum of 1 year experience in the development of on-line training programs preferred.

    • Highly creative in the utilization of multiple types of media to develop training programs.
