The Trade Compliance Administrator supports and facilitates contract activities related to the export of goods, technology and services by obtaining required export authorizations to insure Moog's compliance with U.S. export laws. The U.S. Industrial business is mostly under the jurisdiction of U.S. Commerce Department regulations (EAR) so a strong understanding of the EAR is preferred. Knowledge of ITAR and OFAC requirements are helpful.

The incumbent will work with the site Operations Trade Specialist to facilitate and consult on trade matters within the Operation. Key performance responsibilities include:

Identifying, counselling and administering aspects of business activity which are impacted by trade regulations and efficiently executing transactions to support the flow of business.

Actively communicating export requirements to sales, sales administration, contracts, supply chain, engineering and shipping. Assist in imbedding trade compliance within their business processes.

Communicating procedures associated with the licensing process, technology control, foreign visitor control, foreign travel and hiring of foreign nationals.

Provide supplemental training on export compliance as may be necessary.

Serve as a subject matter expert in trade compliance. Continuously increase knowledge and understanding of the export compliance arena. Remain aware of and communicate changes in policies.


  • Bachelor's degree is highly desirable, an advanced degree in International or Global Business or Trade-related certifications is preferred
  • Three years' experience in or supporting a manufacturing organization, preferably some of which was in contracts or program administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations including ITAR, EAR, OFAC.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for influencing both internal and external personnel.
  • Highly developed and proven written and verbal communication skills.
