  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Possesses exceptional data analysis skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD and GIS skills, a plus;
  • Possesses exceptional organization skills and is detailed orientated;
  • Experienced in various drilling techniques (hollow-stem auger, direct push, sonic, mud rotary, reverse circulation, etc.), soil sampling and soil logging techniques, and groundwater sampling techniques (purge and sample, dedicated pumps, submersible pumps, low-flow, depth-discrete, etc.), all a plus;
  • Possess practical mechanical ability to adapt to the various challenges presented by field work;
  • Is capable of performing moderate work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally;
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record;
  • Self-starter and solutions orientated; and
  • Positive personality possessing the ability to work well as a team and individually.

    This position will have field and non-field related responsibilities. Position requires a minimum of 75% - 90% percent field work and will require travel.

    Typical tasks will include field work planning and preparation, drilling and monitoring well installation oversight, groundwater sampling, remedial system operation and maintenance, data compilation, analysis, and report preparation. Field work will also consist of the collection and proper documentation of soil and groundwater samples to define the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination.

    Experience Requirements:
    0-2 years of previous experience. 40-hour HAZWOPER trained with associated 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher and Supervisor Training a plus.


    Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Sciences (hydrologist, geophysics, geochemistry, or earth science), master's degree preferred
  • Has a desire to pursue a Arizona Geologist-In-Training (GIT) certificate and subsequently a Professional Geologist (PG) certification

    Must pass drug test, entrance physical and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy. Must be able to lift sample coolers and other equipment up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear full-face respirator and complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing. This position will require outdoor work within the U.S. during all seasons, including peak summer and winter conditions. Overnight travel may also be required.

    Full-time position, salary to be commensurate with experience.
