Family Volunteer Camp is a program offered by the Notre Dame Alumni Association. Alumni and children from around the country return to campus for a 5 day/night program focused on community service. The camp has several goals: 1) To cultivate a habit of service within family life; 2) To expose participants to a variety of non-profit agencies serving impoverished and vulnerable peoples; 3) To assist participants in learning more about the root causes of poverty and responses they can enact in their own communities; and 4) To strengthen the communal and spiritual life of Notre Dame alumni and their families as an extension of the mission of the University.

Families spend approximately 5 hours a day engaged in community service in the Michiana area.
