Our 2022 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving Fortune 250 global financial services company.

You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our regional offices.

If so, Guardian is seeking actuarial interns to contribute to our business success.

You are:

A self-starter who is fueled by collaboration, able to transform conceptual thinking into executable insights who thrives in diving into business problems and using data to make decisions.You have:

  • Ability to operate in a virtual environment and effectively build rapport virtually.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Virtual communication, presentation, consultative selling, and relationship building skills.
  • Team player with ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization and customer orientation.
  • Solution oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly reliable self-starter with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to leverage all sales enablement technology, training and tools with proficiency in key technology platforms: Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams; Concur; Tableau, Salesforce.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

You will:
  • Develop and maintain supportive and positive relationships with all management, peers, local sales support staff, with RHO teams and all other external partners.
  • Develop a clear understanding of our business and our diverse Group products. Must gain a thorough understanding of our complex business relationships within the brokerage community and with the clients we service.
  • In conjunction with sales office and/or regional management, incumbent will assist in developing and executing the marketing plan for the RGO territory consistent with the Profit Center and Local Market strategy.
  • Partner with sales and client management team to prepare presentations, create & review reporting, & maintain system data
  • Analyze data to identify and provide solutions to customer needs
  • Observing and carrying out sales processes across the life cycle of the sale.
  • Participate in meetings and client facing communications.

Location: Birmingham or Atlanta Regional Group Sales office

(Housing is not provided)

Eligibility:

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.
