This is a fulltime, summer internship that is not benefit eligible.

Main Objective:

To assist teams with administrative office support and help out on project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review Action Messages: Past Dues, Expedites, De-Expedites for team Synergy.

  • Review and release planned orders and provide input based on total consumption (w buyer supervision)

  • Handle one-off requests from Engineers and Product Managers.

  • Attend weekly product development meeting/ reoccurring supplier conference calls (HSW OOR) and adjust due dates based on the latest updates.

  • Review past dues by Supplier, and provide suggestions on Parameter Adjustments (SS, LT, OM).

  • Chart OTD Data for the ASIP program in preparation for the monthly meeting with the GSLs.

  • Work to create a template charting BO Data in relation to Supplier Delivery Performance.

  • Review IPM data (with usage) to determine a list of items to be dispositioned.

  • Explore opportunities for cost reductions based on Lot sizing /Order Multiples/ VMI / SAP Contract.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree majoring or minoringin Supply Chain or Logistics required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
