Head of Enterprise Support

Leads all application support and transition services for technology across the Bank, and coordinates with National IT on matters of shared infrastructure across the System. Provides strong leadership and strategic guidance in transitioning the function to re-imagine its role at FRBNY, e.g. becoming more nimble and better leveraging vendors. Works closely with constituents at FRBNY and Federal Reserve System to support new and cutting-edge projects, e.g., cloud initiative. Seamlessly navigates a complex stakeholder environment to develop and maintain relationships between the Bank, the Federal Reserve System (FRS), National IT, and 3rd party vendors Understands, communicates, and escalates service related issues to provide high user satisfaction.

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Key Relationships: Head of Business Operations, Head of Enterprise Solutions, Chief Enterprise Architect

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Application Lifecycle Support
    • Leads all application and transition support for technology across the bank (business-specific and shared applications), ensuring tight alignment with Enterprise Solutions
    • Leverages the technical knowledge of domain experts to provide responsive and effective support to mission-critical systems bespoke to the businesses
    • Guides the function in transitioning to new ways of supporting applications as the operating model changes, e.g., adoption of Agile, more process-based alignment, etc.
    • Ensures close coordination with NIT to enable seamless support for Federal Reserve System-wide systems
  • End User Services and Process Management
    • Identifies opportunities for outsourcing efficiencies and ensures vendors provide the highest possible level of service
    • Cultivates and maintains excellent relationships with managed service and vendors; collects data from Bank employees about their vendor experiences
    • Provides support to critical infrastructure across the Bank
    • Works closely with other teams at the Bank and/or FRS to support innovative projects (e.g., cloud initiative, cyber, etc.)
    • Effectively responds to critical and high priority IT operational incidents impacting FRBNY
