Job Description Summary: Administers an Enterprise Windows Active Directory environment at the National Academies. Manage file and print and application servers. Responsible for the support of complex Windows AD/IIS systems and troubleshooting problems as required. This includes creating accounts, creating print queues, troubleshooting web server and resolving issues.

Incumbent in this position is responsible for enterprise level user and Organizational Unit management in different Active Directory Domain environments. Incumbent applies specific professional-level functional knowledge to solve problems requiring the identification and analysis of moderately complex variables. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities, but may require instruction/guidance in other phases or on more complex activities. Establishes processes and/or procedures to ensure the effective and efficient operation of assigned functions. Serves as a technical resource across multiple disciplines.

Job Description:

1.Performs User Account Administration, Group Policy Administration, Directory Permissions, Active Directory Domain/OU Administration, MS Exchange User Administration, and Public Folder administration.

2.Performs Login Script Development, and Administration. Manages outbound facing Website registration, and redirects of internal sites as needed.

3.Manages and maintains IP Management of the Academies Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

4.Manages network printers, queues, Domain Name System (DNS) updates, account administration, and Web server Redirects.

5.Manages Radius, and RSA's SecurID user accounts. Manages Internal and External Certificates of the different systems.

6.Manages Remote user access accounts, and permissions within the internal Network.

7.Participates in change management process, and administers the new BMC System.

8.Manages, allocates, and monitors disk space usage across all National Academies' file servers. Manages MS System Center Configuration Manager, and keeps workstations updated in Infoblox, and AD.

9.Monitors trouble ticket system administration reports on a daily basis to ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance.

10.May perform UNIX and or Linux User Administration.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to solve intellectual problems of some variety and complexity using originality and ingenuity. Ability to use appreciable latitude for independent judgment and action. Experience working in complex environments with a high degree of organizational effectiveness. Ability to successfully work in a team environment. Ability to develop relationships with co-workers and employees in other National Academies' departments. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees.

Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent knowledge.

Minimum Experience: Two years of related professional experience in an information technology environment including Microsoft Windows and Networking. Experience with UNIX and Linux User Administration a plus.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to work for extended periods of time at a computer.

Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSE) preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls: Reports to Manager. Sets objectives with supervisor.

Work Environment: Office environment with occasional travel between National Academies' facilities and to off-site locations.
