Responsibilities

Provide Systems Engineering support in a fast-paced and dynamic customer environment with direct involvement in the customers mission. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. The candidate will ensure stability of the technical baseline for all projects and report issues and concerns to appropriate project lead, COTR, and customer management in a timely manner. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. The candidate will also be required to review projects and provide timely input to the customer on issues that arise.Participates in design reviews to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. The candidate will be expected to respond to spontaneous customer management requests for project status updates in absence of COTR/PM.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 5 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD

TS/SCI clearance with TS/SCI with Poly

Expertise in project lifecycle management ensuring compliance to customer processes

Experience in working with senior managers and stakeholders to capture and document processes and operations for development into actionable requirements

Expertise in requirements management; including collection, distillation, development, verification and tracking

Experience in working with software development and testing teams to clarify concepts

Familiarity with designing and accrediting INT-B and INT-C systems that interface with appropriate enterprise resources

Experience developing business processes and systems; including documentation

Desired Skills

On site, customer domain experience

Experience in mission-focused, operations enabling environment

Excellent communication and organization skills

Experience with development of systems in AWS, preferably C2S

Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably as a scrum master

Experience with JIRA and confluence
