Department: Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition

The Talent Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the firm's Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition (FATA) efforts and requires a combination of direct and indirect leadership, marketing, communication and collaboration skills. They are responsible for developing and executing a strategic recruitment marketing business plan to drive candidate flow and ultimately hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns that drive candidates to consider the Financial Advisor position as a career option

  • Provide approval at key tactical milestones of marketing campaigns:
    • Creative: messaging and images to ensure targeting is accurate

    • Sourcing strategies research: tools and new sourcing strategies

    • Metrics: selecting/tracking campaign metrics (i.e., database marketing, marketing collateral usage, etc.)

    • Evaluation: determining success/failure, and presenting results to senior management

  • Provide work and creative direction to vendors as well as manage the daily relationship

  • Manage advertising expenses by ensuring cost stay within projected amounts

  • Lead and develop the FATA Marketing team associates

  • Partner with Canada Marketing and Communication team to leverage alignment opportunities and share/coordinate business plan strategies that help increase branch awareness in Canada

  • Partner with FATA Director and Talent Acquisition Teams to support marketing campaigns identified in each regions business plan

  • Collaborate and develop deep relationship with US FATA Marketing team. Provide recommendations on which US FATA marketing strategies to adopt in Canada, tailor as needed, and determine support level required

  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies (such as career development events, professional organization affiliations, building candidate channels, etc) that drive candidate flow and ultimately hires.
  • 10+ years of professional recruiting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in talent acquisition.

  • 5+ years of Leadership and strategic marketing or 5+ years of marketing in the financial services industry, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Business, Masters inBusinesshighly preferred
Depth of Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of candidate target pools.

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to FATA regarding marketing needs/activities.

  • Broad knowledge of marketing disciplines and ability to maximize knowledge and experience to accomplish the required outcome.

  • Ability to develop and follow processes to ensure efficient workflow management.

  • Thorough knowledge of Finance Advisor recruitment objectives and positioning strategy of other firms.

  • Thorough understanding of the Financial Advisor career opportunity.

  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements regulating marketing.
  • High-level understanding of the firm's divisional business objectives, the targeted groups of applicants and ability to formulate and execute marketing plans in support of increasing candidate flow.

  • Ability to effectively manage and evaluate the products and services of external agencies and vendors.

  • Able to effectively present to all levels within the firm, including senior and executive management.

  • Basic understanding of database technology and how it might be used to enhance marketing strategies and programs.

  • Demonstrates analytical skills in identifying metrics to determine success or impact of program.

  • Demonstrates general financial analysis in calculating ROI, NIR or other financial metrics in addition to experience managing budgets.

  • Working knowledge of social media and online marketing tools (search, display, e-mail, etc.)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Guide and assists the marketing team in working towards mutually acceptable solutions.

  • Requires managing competing priorities.

  • Ability to deliver unique problem-solving processes to determine the most effective, appropriate and cost-efficient ways to implement marketing solutions to a business objective that also aligns with the firm's goals.

  • Leverages knowledge, skills and experience to manage multiple priorities, resources and initiatives.

  • Provides broad marketing consulting to FATA to help them accomplish their objectives.
Decision Making:

  • Position influences type of candidates recruited and hired to financial advisor opportunity and ultimately influences growth objectives for firm.

  • Must manage competing business priorities and looks for ways to align and move the firm towards solutions-based messaging.
Span of Influence:

  • Influences messages that reach thousands of potential hires.

  • Serves as a dedicated resource to FATA in executing marketing materials, messages and campaigns.

  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance reviews, promotions and other human resource responsibilities.

  • Leverage across business areas and divisions to develop marketing strategies.

  • Reaches across vendor relationships to communicate needs and represent the FA TA objectives.
