Primary Purpose:

The Talent Management Operations and Systems Architect partners with the companys three operating divisions to deploy talent strategies, processes, and systems to enable the talent strategies critical to the growth of our businesses. This leader relies on functional expertise in all areas of talent management along with project management discipline and systems experience to help lead these initiatives working with representatives from each division. Scripps utilizes Workday as its system for all areas of talent, learning, and analytics.

This position is focused on shaping the talent management and workforce planning strategies based on the comprehensive understanding of the overarching HR and company strategies. This will be accomplished primarily through strategic understanding, ongoing analysis, requirements gathering, configuration, development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation. This role partners with HR leadership to strategize around as well as build, implement and maintain the talent management suite of processes, products and systems, including (but may not be limited to): performance management, succession plans, career development and workforce planning. This role requires the ability to make effective use of resources and existing knowledgebase of both functional and technical expertise. Also critical is having excellent project management and communication skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. This position is located in Cincinnati, OH.

Key Activities:

Consult with HR leaders and other talent management subject matter experts to identify talent management and workforce planning needs then potential solutions. Serve as the system administrator for the talent management suite of systems, including:

Performance management.

Goal management.

Succession planning.

Career development.

Determine business requirements for changes to systems and processes then partner with HR to manage the implementation.

Document training requirements related to changes to processes and systems, including the deployment and testing of new system functionality.

Execute system testing and manage periodic upgrades from vendor.

Monitor service levels and escalate issues with our third-party providers.

Manage the sometimes complex technical and people issues surrounding the talent management suite of systems.

Provide Tier 3 support for any issues related to our talent management systems and processes to ensure resolution.

Work with functional leads and system owners to identify interdependencies with other talent management, HRIS, and COE systems/processes.

Ensure system capabilities that will yield data required to produce key workforce analytics.

Determine business requirements for changes to system or process and collaborate with Director, HR Systems with documenting and deploying the related system requirements.

Analyze trends and successful practices in the usage of talent management processes and systems. Additionally, maintain current knowledge in HRIS, particularly talent management solutions, in order to help set and verify appropriateness of the talent management strategy.

Use sound information and theory to provide management with recommended actions to resolve issues or create value for the business

Define and analyze requirements to support the efforts of HR Business Partners as they design and implement HR policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelors degree; HR disciplines preferred.

Minimum of five to seven years designing and implementing talent management strategies or systems with emphasis on performance management, succession, and career development, preferably at a senior or leadership level.

Established customer service skills as evidenced by working in the role of external or internal consultant.

Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.

Proven project management experience.

Demonstrated strategic understanding, input and the ability to translate strategy into tactical activities is critical. Also important is the

ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels interchangeably.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Previous experience with Workday is a plus but not required.
