If you are a HUMAN RESOURCESprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!Based in ourELYRIA, OHIOlocation, you willtake the lead on and be the subject matter expert on Training and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Review systems and processes.
This position is responsible for driving adoption and understanding across the Emerson Professional Tools business to ensure learning anddevelopment initiatives and human resource strategies/solutions for the business arethoroughly and consistently applied.Additionally, this position will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team on all open requisitions for Professional Tools and assist the functional HR leads with recruiting efforts.
  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of training programs, including identifying and vetting alternative facilitators and classes. Leadthe annual salaried needs assessment and assistin the development of the annual training plan.
  • Be the subject matter expert on Oracle Learn administration and functionality, including maintaining the company landing page, creating e-learnings and videos, creating learning plans, and launching training sessions.
  • Utilize data analytics to manage the company goal setting and performance appraisal process, including supporting effective adoption and utilization (communication, training etc.).
  • Leverage the Korn Ferry process to identify differentiating competencies critical for success across an organization, build job profiles or levels, and conduct individual assessments for development.
  • Own the Talent Acquisition process across Professional Tools to drive the adoption of best practices to ensure a consistent look and feel to our talent acquisition strategies. Assist with salaried SG&A staffing plans and create proactive recruitment plans to address future needs of the organization.
    • Develop and implement creative, strategic recruitment plans and campaigns, utilizing social media, professional and university-based recruiting sites and events, advanced internet techniques, and networking with internal and external resources.
    • Lead the Talent Review process as well as provideguidance and input on employee development plans. Coordinate the development of organization review materials globally.
    • Assist in the review and development of all organizational new hireand promotion announcements.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Engagement Manager and others in the development and roll out of company diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary HR representative for areas/departments designated on all matters pertaining to employee coaching, conduct, and corrective action; policy interpretation and application; employment practices; and complaint resolutions.Research and respond to employee concerns,investigate claims and allegations, document findings, and recommend resolution.
  • Assist with development/content for our Quarterly Professional Tools Newsletter.

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field, and a minimum of 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels and functional areas of an organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organization and communication skills (telephone and in-person, including presenting to larger audiences).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
  • Exceptional candidate management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working on multiple job requisitions simultaneously across departments.
  • Excellent networking and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of candidate sourcing.
  • Willingness to travel college recruiting/job fairs, etc.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
  • Experience in organizational development and compensation administration is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in HR/OD, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Prior experience with a Learning Management System is preferred.

Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, Ohio has been developing tools that help trades professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately. Today, more than 600 employees work in 734K sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space.
