Job Description

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenured full-time faculty position to teach courses within its Information Systems and Quantitative Finance programs. Courses in these programs include fundamentals of computer science, data management, applied analytics, as well as machine learning. We seek an individual with professional experience as well as excellent academic credentials who will be able to identify developments within information systems and data analytics and teach existing as well as new courses.

Successful candidates will possess an advanced degree, with an earned doctorate in Computer Science or a neighboring discipline, and experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level. Special consideration will be given to individuals with expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and/or decision sciences. The individual chosen for this position should possess the background and experience necessary to teach a variety of courses in the curriculum, and a record of publishing and research. The rank of the position will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Stevens offers Information Systems degrees at the graduate, undergraduate and PhD level. The MS in Information Systems is the largest program in the School of Business and consists of courses on emerging information technologies, business process innovation, IT strategy and IS architectures as well as concentrations in business intelligence and analytics, process and service innovation, and project management.The BS in Quantitative Finance is the largest undergraduate program in the School of Business and combines computer science, math, technology, and finance subjects. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full role in curricular development, student advisement and the programs robust series of public events besides the primary role of teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses.

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology has a special focus on information systems, analytics, and finance, and encourages interdisciplinary research. The school is AACSB accredited and offers a PhD, two MBAs, seven Masters degrees, and undergraduate degrees in Business as well as Quantitative Finance.
