Role Responsibilities

Territory Manager - New Mexico is to assist the State Manager in daily tasks to drive business and achieve the overall plan:

  • End-to-End Commercial Responsibility of Territory (NSV/DGP)
  • Actively manage the presentation and execution of category plans, brand plans, promotions and new item introductions ensuring compliance with Brand Standards at all times
  • Budget Management for self and team (i.e. OPEX, Brand Investment Funds, T&E)
  • Distributor Management: set goals with distributor to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Work with distributor sales force to monitor progress and ensure goals are achieved, within the Beam Suntory distributor management processes
  • BSI Team Leadership/Mentoring
  • Local Programming Strategy/Execution/Resource Management (POS)
  • Successfully execute all on/off-premise events and use division or company sponsored tracking and execution recaps as provided
  • Chain Account Partnership/Interface
  • Market Leadership/Point Person

Qualifications & Experience
  • Influencing Skills:ability to communicate with distributors and key accounts in a way that influences activities and decisions
  • Presentation Effectiveness: ability to translate insights into structured presentations that highlight key takeaways; Ability to present effectively to senior audiences & Distributors
  • Sales Experience: demonstrated success in off-premise sales; on-premise a plus. Chain Account Call Expertise (i.e. Buyer interfacing role, BIG Customer Cadence)
  • Programming Execution: Executional Champion/Process-Oriented (i.e. Understanding of state vision, delivering results)
  • Distributor Management: understanding of distributor day-to-day activities and how to drive accountability to KPIs
  • Team Leadership Experience (Direct/Indirect)
  • Budget Management Capability
  • Industry Knowledge: Programming Expertise within Spirits Industry Preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, daily physical activities may include, but aren't limited to:

  • Lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling of up to 45 lbs.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, stopping and typing using a computer
