Primary Function of Position:

The primary objectives for this person are to support the completion of production targets for their assigned team and contribute to the assembly of a variety of tissue products, meeting quality and productivity goals, with the KindHeart group. This person would work closely with fellow team members/leads and the production supervisor to achieve team performance goals. Goals are set and overall team performance is measured against them.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble a variety of tissue products according to standard instructions and prints to meet weekly production goals
  • Operate and set up production supplies/equipment
  • Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety and productivity
  • Perform inspection of own's work and other's work. Perform simple repairs on own or other's work
  • Mentor others in areas of expertise (as needed)
  • Initiate more complex material requests, report quality issues & efficiency, record measurements as needed
  • Ability to support transition of novel models from R&D to Production
  • Ability to assist in R&D related projects as needed
  • Lead and document process improvement, efficiency projects
  • Sets priorities for the day and manages requests from other departments
  • Communicates and coordinates product non-conformances and rework/re-inspection/sort activities with MRB team
  • Contributes to evaluation of production readiness of new models
  • Assists in development of systems to improve manufacturing flow
  • Assures that the team adheres to the company standards and regulations
  • Completion of Intuitive Surgical University training modules
  • Display CCEE - Character, Capacity, Energy and Experience
  • Follow all corporate, regulatory, safety and production policies and procedures
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Communicate clearly and effectively time sensitive requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Has good leadership skills and is able to build team relationships
  • Ability to train/mentor other technicians on complex models (Groups 2, 3 & 4)
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as sewing and cutting, with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors, or engineers
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to report quality issues. Ability to suggest simple process improvements
  • Ability to use computers as part of daily work. Ability to use on-line documentation
  • Must have ability to complete tissue model training and basic understand of anatomy. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to use clocks, timers, tools, calculators and rulers. Ability to work in a controlled environment (i.e. clean room), this includes wearing scrubs, and slip-resistant shoes as well as meeting other room standards.
