Responsibilities

Position is in support of the U.S. Army CCDC C5ISR Center Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch (SBNAB). Program objective is to address today's cyber threats by designing and deploying game-changing cyber defense capabilities that allow organizations to defend better, react faster, coordinate rapidly, prioritize efforts, and respond smarter to security events, increased risks, and/or operational directives.

Description:
The Systems Architect IV applies technical knowledge to assist clients in the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues. Establishes the basic structure of the system, denes essential core design features and elements that provide the framework. Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination. Performs cost-benet analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. Applies knowledge of enterprise IT or engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the customer's enterprise technical architecture. May participate in business development activities.

Responsibilities:
Strong background in design, engineering and sustainment of large scale distributed computation platforms. Ability to manage teams of system admins, prioritize work, identify high risk critical problems and dedicate appropriate resources. Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems.

Qualifications

1. Master's with 5 years of experience or Bachelor's with 10 years of experience. Degree must be in Engineering or Computer Science in one of following disciplines: Systems/Network/DB Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Info Science, or SW Engineering.

2. Membership in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers certication is desired.

3. Requires active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.

4. Requires current Information Assurance certification IT-I (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE, SSCP) and current Computing Environment certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M.

5. Experience managing teams of system administrators.

6. Requires experience design, engineering and sustaining large scale distributed computation platforms.
