What You Will Do

The Upsell Consultant, GC Regional Sales is responsible for increasing the engagement of our existing general contractor customers and the assessment of additional needs within their business. The individual will help the customer understand the suite of products offered by ConstructConnect, how other products fit with what they currently purchase, and position them to gain more value from the use of those same products.

Your Day to Day Essential Duties

  • Utilize needs-based and consultative selling techniques to determine additional product and service needs for existing customer accounts.

  • Work in conjunction with Customer Success as well as Business Development Representatives to effectively identify and target the best prospects

  • Focus on Value Selling, driven by a quality discovery process that uncovers key desired business outcomes.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customers business and the manner in which products and

  • services support their needs.

  • Provide appropriate input to Management to develop and or adjust the focus of selling efforts

  • Provide a voice of the customer perspective for Product Management and Development when needed.

  • Maintain customer databases of prospects in SalesForce.com

  • Partner with Customer Success in customer retention efforts that lead to strong customer loyalty and reduced churn.

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly and easily engage with all levels of a customer organization.

  • Must have excellent presentation skills and the ability to demonstrate products often breaking down complex ideas into easy-to-comprehend thoughts.

  • Must be polished, professional and engaging.

  • Must possess the proficiency to learn new products and services.

  • Must have the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

  • High level of initiative and accountability

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • A demonstrated winning attitude and high energy level

  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales forecasting

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Relationship Management Systems

  • Must have a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Bachelors degree OR Associates degree + 1 years cold calling, telemarketing or appointment setting experience OR HS Diploma + 3 years cold calling or business development experience in a corporate sales environment preferably software sales.

  • Six (6) months of successful experience in a ConstructConnect GC BDR role.

  • Twelve (12) months of successful experience in a ConstructConnect role

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the working day

  • Needs to occasionally move about the office to communicate with staff and attend meetings

  • Constantly operates a computer

  • Frequently communicates verbally with peers and management

  • Must be able to analyze detail close-up
