VP Home Loan Officer

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Provide leadership for assigned staff, including effective performance management, identification of training needs and personal development plans.
- Aggressively market consumer mortgage loan products (while maintaining sound credit administration).  Establish new marketplace relationships that will contribute towards attainment of AgCountry goals and business objectives. This includes maintaining a sales database, establishing ongoing prospecting plans and activities, and developing and making a commitment to individual sales goals. 
- Expected to dedicate approximately 80 percent time to relationship management activities including customer and prospecting visits, planning sales strategies, public relations activities, etc. Prospecting would include calls to realtors, building contractors, other financial institutions and other referral sources.  
- Responsible for credit decisions within delegated authority and credit administration of an assigned residential loan portfolio.
- Keep up with fast-changing residential lending practices (TRID) and technology in order to maintain âœexpertâ status and provide exceptional value to the customer. Work with legal on compliance and program development.
- Provide expert leadership in the delivery and servicing of consumer lending services at AgCountry.  Actively participate in planning and leading the Consumer Lending Program to set department strategies, objectives and goals.  The incumbent is responsible for the successful execution of the strategies and achievement of the objectives and goals. Direct the development and implementation of department policies, best practices, and training.
- Support Association, department and branch efforts to obtain marketing results. Develop and supervise systems and procedures to keep Loan Officers up to date on product functions, features and benefits. Assist in the execution of marketing programs, tracking and promotional programs to ensure effective and timely completion.
- Bring value to the customer. Manage the total AgCountry value proposition and business relationship at the individual customer level. Communicate and exemplify AgCountry commitment to employee and customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain a leadership role in the consumer lending function, AgCountry and the community that provides image and marketing and sales leverage advantage to AgCountry.  Use a high level of industry knowledge to establish networking relationships with influencers or enterprise leaders. 
- Coordinate workloads and resource needs within the consumer lending loan officers to determine priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Provide recommendations concerning changes or enhancements to procedures, workflow and job responsibilities.
- Communicate and exemplify AgCountry commitment to employee and customer engagement.
- As a member of the AgCountry team, perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with AgCountry policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure staff members follow the same.
- Represent the values, purpose, and mission of AgCountry to employees, customers, the public, and other target audiences.

The incumbent receives general direction for new assignments relative to attaining goals and objectives, and limited instruction on day-to-day work. The incumbent provides direct supervision for multiple exempt and nonexempt staff.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelorâs degree in business, agriculture or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five yearsâ experience in consumer lending or real estate sales/brokerage field with supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- In-depth understanding of consumer mortgage finance and its related sales/brokerage field or title/settlement industry.
- Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating, influencing, administrative and strategic selling skills.
- Proven team leadership skills, especially the ability to develop and foster high levels of energy, cooperation and teamwork.
- Superior time management and personal management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others, strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ability to combine sales and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of clientâs current financial position in order to provide innovative and workable alternatives to the customerâs residential financing needs.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions.
- Travel is required throughout territory with a diverse geographically located team

- Knowledge of the financial services industry, commercial banking and the Farm Credit System.
- Knowledge of lending disciplines and the Association's credit portfolio.

- Valid driverâs license or evidence of equivalent mobility.
- Obtain and maintain registration into the NMLS Federal Registry as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
