Position Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Lead the design, development and implementation of sales enablement programs that fuel continued growth of the business. Programs include the sales process, training, coaching, content and technology. Champion a culture of continuous improvement in sales practices and outcomes. Partner with sales leaders to align programs with key sales strategies and priorities. Measure program outcomes and deliver integrated enablement solutions for a multi-channel sales environment.

Sales Enablement Team: Market Intelligence Manager, Product Manager, Sales Content Manager, Sales Talent Development Managers 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Lead the team responsible for design, development and implementation of the Associations’ sales enablement programs to support continued growth of the business.
  2. Propagate a best practice sales process aligned to our customers’ journey. Oversee development and implementation of enablement services that support the sales process including training, coaching, content and technology.
  3. Engage and collaborate with sales leaders to champion a culture of continuous improvement and a consistent, intentional approach to sales.
  4. Drive continuous innovation and thought leadership in enablement programs and tools.
  5. Develop the annual sales enablement plan and priorities. Ensure alignment of the plan to the sales strategies defined by senior business development leaders.
  6. Monitor, measure and report on enablement impacts and successes. Initiate changes to programs based on measurement outcomes.
  7. Partner with technology, marketing, data mining and product management teams to deliver integrated enablement solutions that work in a multi-channel sales environment.
  8. Successfully leverage internal and external data to enable sales programs, strategies and territory management.
  9. Champion adoption of sales enablement technology including CRM. Define user requirements and collaborate with development and implementation teams to ensure technology tools support sales productivity and effectiveness.

Leadership and HR Administration: 

  1. Provide team leadership, shared vision, and positive communications to achieve the Associations’ vision and strategy consistent with the Associations’ core values and team principles. Build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships within the Associations to understand the business opportunities and challenges. 
  2. Establish a positive, participative, and collaborative team environment that inspires creative, high-performing, continuous learning, and engaged team members. 
  3. Responsible for attracting, selecting, and on-boarding a diverse and qualified team and determining the appropriate team resource requirements to meet the Associations’ strategic direction. 
  4. Develop team members through coaching, training and development, opportunities, and on-going performance feedback including timely follow-up on individual development plans; counsel team members on performance issues. 
  5. Complete and/or recommend salary administration for team members in accordance with Association procedures. 
  6. Develop and monitor the business plan and annual operating budgets related to areas of responsibilities. Review and approve operational expenditures within delegated authority.
  7. Represent the Associations to the public in a manner that will enhance image and aid in the accomplishment of objectives. 

May perform other additional duties as assigned 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 

Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business administration, agriculture, sales, marketing, or finance. Minimum of 10 years’ sales, sales strategy development and/or financial services lending experience with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role. Previous experience in a quota-carrying role and ability to understand the challenges that the sales team encounters daily is required.

  • Ability to utilize and leverage technology to drive growth and achieve desired business outcomes through an integrated sales enablement platform.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to use computer. This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
  • Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work-related activities.
  • Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
  • Ability to understand and explain various subject matter and consult on concepts, programs, terminology and methods.
  • Ability to operate the telephone and respond to calls and in-person inquiries.
  • Ability to successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, officers, board members, customers, industry specialists, and the public at all levels.
  • Ability to use and understand various computer software related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation (up to 20% to carry out essential responsibilities).
