Warehouse Associate - 1st shift

Position Summary:

This position processes materials through the computer system, designates movement of materials to proper inventory or production location, receives and tracks incoming product and material from time of receipt to distribution of product following the departments operating procedures, produces and documents all labeling activity, and ships all outgoing parts and product to outside vendors and/or customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately counts, identifies and controls inventory movement in the LS warehouse.

  • Maintains material location changes in Dataworks system.

  • Manually, or via hand truck or tow motor, performs various material handling duties in the facility.

  • Actively participates in Lean improvement projects and department initiatives.

  • Fully participates in cycle count program to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Assists in general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.

  • Operates forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and tow motor to move product to specified locations.

  • Palletizes product from assembly line, wrap and load onto truck.

  • Distributes, sorts, organizes and allocates material to the production floor.

  • Picks work orders ensuring timely delivery to customers via bar-code reader or manually.

  • Unpacks raw materials and prepares them for use in clean rooms.

  • Reviews shortage reports, fills material shortages, and delivers to appropriate manufacturing cell. Updates inventory levels using the computer system.

  • Receives incoming material and processes through the DataFlo system.

  • Verifies quantities on all incoming materials and enters against the open purchase order.

  • Assists in the processing of carrier claims for damaged materials.

  • Prints all product labels through DataFlo system.

  • Reviews pick lists and fills label shortages.

  • Prepares and reviews all documentation related to label printing.

  • Ships outgoing parts and product.

  • Prepares and reviews all documentation related to shipment activities.

  • Performs additional duties and assignments as required by management.


  • Minimum of two years work experience in inventory position preferred.

  • General knowledge of receiving/inventory and warehouse procedures.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds if required.

  • Basic computer knowledge is required.

  • Must have no history of back injury or related illness and the ability to lift boxes and webbing of up to 75 pounds.

  • Must feel comfortable and controlled at heights of up to 25 feet.

  • Ability to read and write (in English)

  • Ability to count accurately, aided by the use of precision scales and rulers.
