Position Purpose & Summary

The Warehouse Manager is accountable for instilling a culture of safety, ensuring inventory accuracy, managing cost, supporting cost saving initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying process improvements. The Warehouse Manager is also responsible for the overall management of the local Milwaukee warehousesinclusive of onsite and offsite locations and will be accountable for reviewing agreed-to service levels of the local third-party warehouses and managing those relationships at the local level.

Principal Accountabilities

30% Safety/Risk Management
Partners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate policies and procedures.
Health and Safety: Build and champion a culture of zero injury and illness.
Environmental: Understands and proactively avoids environmental impact and potential risks to the business.
Food Safety: Directly monitors risks associated with products. Ensures GFSI/HACCP/FDA standards and requirements are met in all processes. Educates and trains workforce in food safety fundamentals and completes safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) audits.

30% Inventory & Process Discipline
Conduct and document weekly cycle counts.
Develop operational stop criteria to support inventory accuracy.
Hold team and peers accountable for processes that impact inventory accuracy.
Track and report key inventory metrics.
Coordinate physical inventory counts as required for assigned locations.
Identify and/or support process improvement initiatives and process compliance for local warehouses.

20% Warehouse and Operational Excellence
Ensure warehouse services are effectively and efficiently delivered; ensure best practice adoption and compliance.
Provide leadership and guidance on distribution network design, warehouse utilization, and inventory management decisions.
Provide oversight responsibilities for onsite and offsite warehouses. Develop, monitor and report key metrics to assess our execution in this area.

20% People Management
Nourish the culture of safety, inventory excellence and customer service by ensuring that all team members are equipped with the requisite skills to be certain of success for themselves and the facility.
Manage budget and costs related to building and maintaining a high-performing team.
Ensure accountability is clear with direct and indirect reports.



Minimum Required Qualifications


Bachelors degree or higher or 5 years of equivalent experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing environments in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 3 years of leading teams in a labor intensive manufacturing environment (warehouse, operations, etc.).
2 years of inventory management experience.
Strong communication (verbal and written) ability to get message across to a variety of audiences.
Strong people management & team building skills ability to engage, develop and motivate a workforce.
Strong problem-solving skills in complex environments.
Strong leadership and influencing skills.
Strong computer literacy and eagerness to learn or ability to execute in SAP systems.
Root cause analysis mindset and/or facilitation experience.
Ability to travel as needed, typically less than 10%.
Ability to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications


HACCP or FSSC 22000 experience
SAP experience
Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
