Job Summary:

The position of Warehouse TeamLead is the first line of direction in the operations and is an integral partof the vision for the Memphis Distribution Center. It is instrumental in leading byexample. The ideal candidate will beversed in planning, organization, and direction for employees

Essential Job Functions:

-Works withSupervisor regarding Employee Performance, Manpower Utilization and Training

-Plans andorganizes department's operations, standard operating practices and procedures

-Leads andinstructs team in day-to-day activities

-Communicatesdaily volume to team and assigns work to team members

-Adjusts manpoweras needed, in conjunctions with other leads and or supervisors, to ensurecustomer orders are processed in a timely manner

-Provides on thejob training and direction to team members

-Analyzes productivityand kitting reports to achieve established goals

-Troubleshoots/usesproblem solving techniques to resolve operational challenges

-Performsassociate/operator work when time allows from his/her other duties, unlessthere is an urgent need in the warehouse that warrants top priority

-Reports allsafety, productivity, quality, equipment, and personnel challenges to theSupervisor

-Completes otherduties as assigned by the Supervisor.

-Other duties asassigned.


Basic qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

One year of warehouse/manufacturing experience

Prior leadership responsibilities

Relevant certification or degrees may count towardwork experience requirement.


Working knowledge of SAP

Requires the ability to understand/communicate qualityrequirements and oversee operations to ensure goals are met.

Must be able to handle multiple responsibilitiessimultaneously.

Must be able to communicate effectively and work in afair and cooperative manner to support a team environment.

Must be willing to learn how to use a PC andappropriate software needed to perform job.

Must be able to instruct and direct a small group ofemployees performing simple but diversified work.


Performs varied tasks requiringindependent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, as well asexercise of independent judgment in addition to procedures and instructionsprovided.


This position may exert up to 25pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently orconstantly to grasp, finger, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise moveobjects, including the human body. Incumbent will be required to performdynamic activities including reaching and stretching, as well as, frequentbending and twisting of the torso.
