Essential Job Duties
In conjunction with Leadership teams, create, implement, and drive standard on-boarding/follow up and annual training certification programs
Identifies and assesses future and current training needs
Designs overall or individualized training and development plans that addresses needs and expectations
Analyzes and evaluates training.
Researches, writes, and creates new training materials based on facility needs.
Deploys a wide variety of training methods
Monitors and evaluates training program(s) effectiveness and success
Organize and schedule training sessions
Document, track, and file training records for each team member
Provides Team Members with opportunities for ongoing development
Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Conduct day to day training and certification on Powered Industrial Trucks, warehouse equipment, work instructions and new hire orientation
Launch and advance key training initiatives in conjunction with Safety Manager to reduce accidents, improve safety programs, along with improve associate on-boarding experiences and raise associate level of training across multiple disciplines.
Monitor and report out on key initiatives within our network and executive team, including KPIs, ROI and roadmap execution.
Leverage observations, data trends, and ROI analyses to drive continuous improvement within our training platforms and training associates.
Manage multiple initiatives concurrently to deliver associate performance improvement, knowledge retention, and create process/programs to scale in conjunction with facility growth


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven work experience as a training manager
Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
Good computer and database skills
Comfortable presenting to large groups, answering questions, leading discussions
Results driven
Intellectually curious and creative problem solver
Ability to operate effectively in a warehouse environment and with senior company leadership
Ability to influence key stakeholders on tactical and strategic objectives
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing implementation projects from start to finish
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and comfort with pivoting quickly and as often as required
Understanding of key financial, customer service, and supply chain metrics
Experience with org change / transformation a strong plus
Project / program management excellence
Knowledge in office-applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


Education, Experience, and Certification
Bachelor's Degree preferred or 5+ years of experience in leading or implementing new programs in Training/Leadership development, with 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Quality Control, Process Improvement, Warehouse/DC Management, Logistics or related field.
2-5 years experience with EHS programs in warehouse operation
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA* regulations, industrial hygiene, safety processes and EHS training
Technical and mechanical aptitude for material handling equipment is required
Experience with ISO 14001, loss prevention, etc.
Forklift Training Certification


Working Conditions
Varied working conditions between controlled and uncontrolled environments. Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces.
