Description


TheWestern Region Sales Leader manages a team of Territory Managers and Application Engineers to deliver an annual operating plan (AOP) that includes channel partners and end customers in the specified sub-region of North America.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team to show overall growth at channels and key channel accounts
  • Manage team ensuring we get mindshare for Emerson current product portfolio and NPI launches
  • Manage forecast for assigned region on a monthly basis with weekly reporting to the Americas Commercial Leader
  • Develop and maintain business level relationships with top assigned account executives
  • Develop and maintain business level relationships with assigned channel partner owners and executives
  • Review channel performance and make suggestions for any changes
  • Collaborate with product management for voice of the customer and to deploy marketing programs and training
  • Deploy demand generation programs for channel partners in cooperation with marketing and sales
  • Consistently direct channel transactional issues to appropriate Emerson resources (i.e. customer care, inside sales, etc.)
  • Ensure Application Engineers are constantly up to speed on NPIs as well as escalated field-level issues to Product Management and Engineering
Performance Measurements
  • Meet or Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas for assigned region
  • Ensure compliance of team as well as partners to channel policy
  • Identify poorly performing market areas, review and recommend alternatives
  • Accurate forecasting of region using SFDC
  • Accurate reporting of key channel data in SFDC (policy compliance, MAP, Point of Sale, Co-Op fund utilization,.)
  • Accurate reporting of key customer data in SFDC (Opportunities, POS, etc.)
Additional Information
Up to 50% travel, primarily the Western Region for North America. This person can sit in Boulder, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, LA, San Francisco or other locations near an Emerson office and major airport.Relocation may be available for this position.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, plus 10 years of experience working in a Sales, Sales Support or Marketing Role
  • Demonstrated presentation skills (must be able to effectively communicate a vision)
  • Proven capability to work with others in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong strategic mindset, business insight and strategic vision
