Description
SummaryThe Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping area, including public areas. This requires a solid understanding of the housekeeping operation and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
What You'll Do:
- Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
- Experience with room inspections, job assignments, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. is helpful.
- Duties which include staff training, development, coaching, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and payroll among other things as needed.
- Promote an atmosphere that ensures guest and colleague satisfaction, and drive a culture of care.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments, and team members.
- Work with the Housekeeping team to close out the day and assist in setting up the following day.
- Ensure the public areas are supported and in good condition during morning and evening events.
- Provide solution-based customer service with any guest concerns that arise during shift and assist with the follow-up of previous guest concerns from the day.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Previous hotel experience preferred
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
- Flexible availability to work any day including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
