The Marketing Department is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support the Global Life Sciences industry group and the Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory practice. This role partners closely with business development leadership, attorneys, and marketing colleagues to enhance market visibility, strengthen client relationships, and drive strategic growth initiatives. The position reports to the Director of Business Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the execution of marketing and business development initiatives for the Life Sciences industry and related practice groups.
Develop knowledge of the life sciences and healthcare sectors, including client priorities, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
Assist in implementing business development plans and tracking progress against goals.
Coordinate and support RFPs, pitches, and proposals from planning through submission, including contributing to cross-practice preferred provider proposals.
Evaluate and manage conference and sponsorship opportunities, including logistics and attorney participation.
Organize firm-hosted events in collaboration with the Events team.
Utilize CRM and experience databases to identify client targets and relevant firm experience.
Coordinate practice and industry submissions to directories such as Chambers and The Legal 500.
Collaborate on integrated branding and profile-raising campaigns, including digital and social media initiatives.
Prepare and maintain marketing materials, including brochures, pitch decks, attorney biographies, experience lists, and website content.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, business development, or client relations, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
Familiarity with the Life Sciences industry preferred.
Strong writing, organizational, and project management skills.
Experience supporting proposals and pitch processes; ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM and marketing systems such as Foundation, InterAction, or Intapp DealCloud is a plus.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with professionals at all levels.
Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $82,000 to $110,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
