Position: Carpenter Laborer
Travel: required throughout PA and MD
Pay: $20.00/hr- $24.00/hr (Based on experience)
We are currently looking for Carpenter Laborer to join our Wagman Construction Group across PA and MD projects. Work is performed outdoors year-round. Employees will be exposed to wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather conditions. This individual must have the ability to communicate and work well with others.
The laborer performs manual tasks to support various construction projects. This role involves site preparation, material handling, operating equipment, and assisting skilled tradespeople. The laborer ensure a safe and efficient work environment by clearing debris, setting up temporary structures, and maintaining cleanliness.
This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.
This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
As a full-service general contractor, Wagman Construction facilitates growth and development in senor living, healthcare, higher education, urban, institutional and industrial markets in central Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Must be able to perform clean-up and staging of materials as directed by the Supervisor.
- Must be willing to travel a 75-mile radius of York, PA.
- Must be able to operate jackhammers, concrete buggy, demolition saw, and small tools that are associated with completing a task.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout work shift
- Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl
- Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
- Must have the ability to reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height - and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces
- Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing
- Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather
