Deffet Group is pleased to have been retained by Falcons Landing to conduct an executive search for a Chief Executive Officer.
Falcons Landing is an award-winning, CARF accredited, not-for-profit Life Plan Community (LPC) located in Potomac Falls, Virginia, near Washington, D.C., founded in 1996 by the Air Force Retired Officers Community (AFROC) to serve retired U.S. military officers and their families. The vision for the community emerged from a group of senior military leaders and supporters who recognized the need for a high-quality retirement option that honored military service while providing long-term security and access to health care. While originally limited to retired military officers and their spouses, residency eligibility expanded over time to include non-military financially qualified individuals, allowing the community to grow while maintaining its military heritage and culture of service.
Falcons Landing is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the AFROC Board of Directors, this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader with a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans.
The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s highly preferred) in Business Management or health-related field and ideally, a minimum of ten years’ experience in an executive level position in a mid-size to large civilian business organization or comparable military command. Our finalist is a confident, collaborative professional who builds trust and supports a diversity-focused, inclusive approach to engagement with others, as well as in decision making processes. Open, friendly, and supportive, they will evidence a deep commitment to employee growth and development, customer satisfaction and the concepts and practices of continuous improvement.
