Description
Job Purpose and ImpactThe FP3 Maintenance Manager role will supervise and execute the deployment of overall leading maintenance practices aligned to production needs. In this role, you will lead a team that executes routine complex activities to maintain and improve capacity utilization and quality standards realized through reliable operations across the region.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee Maintenance Operations: Develop vision needed to lead and oversee maintenance support to factory operational equipment, as well as general facility maintenance, supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Maintenance Strategy: Ensure implementation of Asset Maintenance Management as Factory Maintenance System.
Direct and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment at the highest practical level through continuous improvement of the maintenance systems, as well as leadership within the facility's continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive TPM practices, focusing on PM and AM pillars to enhance equipment reliability.
Develop and implement best-practice maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational performance by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns. - Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team to deliver continuous improvements.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose technical problems and carry out timely repairs or coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
- Budget and Cost Control: Work with team members to develop the most cost-effective repair strategies and manage maintenance spending responsibilities to achieve factory maintenance budget, control costs and ensure efficient use of resources, spare parts, and tools.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for maintenance services, spare parts, and equipment procurement.
- Facility Management: maintain the overall condition of the physical infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, incidents, and repairs. Prepare regular reports for management review.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement innovative technical ideas and solutions for improved production efficiencies to reduce operating cost.
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes, tools, and systems to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Master's degree is a plus.)
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance or engineering roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial position of food & beverage industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, including PLC, automation, and facility maintenance, experience in TPM/ LSS would be a plus.
- Experience in implementing and managing preventive/predictive maintenance programs and using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS, SAP).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate maintenance teams, manage performance, and develop staff. Problem-Solving Skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and decision-making skills under time pressure.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, regulations, and procedures in industrial or facility environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage maintenance projects and budgets effectively.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken. (especially if working in multinational environments)
