Junior Analyst / Documentation Specialist
The Junior Analyst / Documentation Specialist role is responsible for the Performance Solutions Division Project Team in managing, organizing, sustaining and creating project company documents (contracts, reports, SOPs) to ensure accuracy, security, and easy retrieval. Additionally, this role provides target analytic and administrative support for projects and Antech's Performance Solutions Division business needs. This position is best supported by someone able to work at a combination of Antech's Pine Hill Office and NAWCAD WOLF's Webster Field location at least 3 days a week and able to come into site visit/meetings with less than 2 hours' notice on other days. Candidates within 50 miles of Lexington Park, Maryland, and able to support this requirement will be given credit for this work support advantage in assessing their qualifications.
For this position applicants must have at least one of the following combinations of experience and education:
a bachelor's degree which you can explain how it supports the requirements of the tasking and provides foundational skills,
an associate's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience,
a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Direct experience applying required capabilities for Agile software teams, training development, or associated with DoD document management (including technical library management and AZ records management) will be seen as an advantage in assessing experience. Certification at the intermediate or higher level in 2 MS Office products, SharePoint administration/development, Atlassian Confluence/Jira and/or in a process automation credential may be counted in lieu of 2 years of required experience if assessed well aligned to the role.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible to obtain a security clearance. Active security clearance is a plus. This position may require occasional non-local travel, up to approximately 10% of the time, so candidates must be able to travel for periods of up to one week as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities - Administrative Duties under the direction of a senior lead in our Project Management Operations Department and other senior members of the Team based on tasking and areas of coordination.
Tools & Work Environment
This role operates in a highly collaborative team environment where documentation evolves alongside system development and operational processes, requiring frequent coordination with both technical and non-technical team members. Candidates in this role will regularly work with the following tools, platforms, and documentation practices:
Microsoft Word for development and maintenance of structured documentation using templates, styles, tables, cross-references, and change tracking.
Microsoft PowerPoint for development of briefing materials, visual process summaries, and documentation supporting program communication.
Microsoft Excel for tracking documentation inventories, revision histories, task tracking, and coordination of review cycles.
Microsoft SharePoint or and Atlassian Confluence/Jira platforms for document storage, version control, and team collaboration.
Document review workflows including comment resolution, tracked changes, and incorporation of feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Standardized documentation templates and style guides used to maintain consistency across program documentation.
Collaborative documentation development, working with technical staff, project managers, analysts, trainers, and operational users to capture procedures and system knowledge.
Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams (developers, designers, analysts, testers, project leads, and others) to capture system knowledge and translate sprint outcomes into clear operational and user documentation.
Controlled documentation environments that require version management, document approval processes, and structured updates.
Program environments supporting Department of Defense systems, where documentation may support operational procedures, system use, and training materials.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain project documentation including user guides, SOPs, process documentation, training materials, and operational references.
Support controlled use of hierarchical documentation with organizational core documents that can be tailored and extended for project level use
Use Microsoft Word extensively to develop structured documents using templates, styles, tables, cross-references, and standardized formatting.
Develop supporting documentation materials using PowerPoint and Excel, including visual summaries, process tracking, and documentation inventories.
Work closely with technical staff, program management, operations personnel, and analysts to gather information and capture procedures or system knowledge.
Facilitate documentation capture sessions with subject matter experts to translate working knowledge into structured documentation.
Support the full life cycle of documentation, including initial drafting, review cycles, updates, and version maintenance.
Maintain iterative documentation aligned with Agile sprints, updating user guides, SOPs, and operational documentation as features evolve and participating in sprint reviews to ensure documentation reflects current system capabilities.
Maintain document libraries and version control within program repositories (e.g., SharePoint and Atlassian spaces).
Working with the Team's Technical Coordinator manage documentation within collaborative repositories integrated with Agile/DevSecOps workflows, ensuring documentation updates track system changes, release increments, and versioned artifacts helping to ensure minimum duplication of any materials other than as specifically required by direction.
Incorporate feedback from reviewers across multiple disciplines and update documents accordingly.
Review existing documentation to improve clarity, structure, formatting, and usability.
Assist in tracking documentation updates related to system changes, releases, or evolving operational procedures.
Ensure key identified documents are effectively and efficiently transferred to the designated Government repositories with all required and useful metadata for point in time snaphotting/versions.

Comfortable facilitating conversations with subject matter experts to capture knowledge and convert it into usable documentation.
Ability to work within structured documentation standards, templates, and formatting requirements.
Strong proficiency and comfort working extensively in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word for structured documents and PowerPoint/Excel for supporting materials.
Ability to incorporate feedback from multiple reviewers and reconcile inputs into a cohesive final document.
Professional communication skills suited for working in government and contractor environments.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining strong coordination with the broader team.
Experience Requirements
Required
05+ years of professional experience, minimum based on relevant education and certifications, supporting technical documentation, program documentation, or process documentation.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially:
Microsoft Word (structured formatting, templates, styles, tables)
Microsoft Excel
Experience creating or maintaining documentation such as Project documentation, Templates, SOPs, user guides, or operational documentation.
Experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical subject matter experts to gather documentation content.
Ability to follow established templates, formatting standards, and document control practices.
Desired
36+ years of professional experience supporting technical documentation, program documentation, or process documentation.
Demonstrated proficiency with additional Microsoft Office Suite tools
Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs.
Familiarity with SharePoint, Atlassian (Confluence/Jira) as document collaboration platforms.
Experience managing documentation through review cycles and revision updates in production teams that incorporate some Agile workflows involving multiple stakeholders.
Exposure to IT systems, software development, training development, or system engineering environments.
Experience developing process diagrams or workflow documentation.
Familiarity with configuration management, document version control or controlled documentation environments.
Salary Range: Salaried at $48,000 - $62,750 or the equivalent of $23.08 to $30.17 per hour - Antech applies several factors to determine each individual's appropriate salary component in their compensation package, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific elements and broader organizational requirements. The range displayed represents the overall expected salary range for this position and is just one component of Antech's total compensation package for employees.
