Description
The Aviation Maintenance Technician will assume responsibility of any assigned aircraft and serve as a subject matter expert for determining the airworthiness of this and any other aircraft in the Cox fleet as defined within the Federal Aviation Regulations. This person is an independent decision maker who possesses the authority for flight release and is responsible for the administration of the maintenance program for the designated aircraft to ensure that it is maintained to the highest quality standards in accordance with federal aviation regulations, manufacturer’s approved methods, and industry best practices. The Aviation Maintenance Technician reports directly to the assigned Tech Ops Team Manager.
Requirements
- Serve as an aviation technical, model specific expert on Company aircraft
- Accomplish quality maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections
- Responsible for aircraft software and data base loading/updates
- Ensure aircraft records are accurate and in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations
- Review computerized maintenance program requirements for aircraft short and long-term maintenance projections
- Ensure all Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items are managed within time requirements.
- Manage ground support equipment and vendor repair work as required
- Launch and recover flights as assigned
- Perform all other duties as required or assigned by the Technical Operations Manager.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and variable hours as needed
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings is Required
