Description
This role requires exceptional organization, clear and timely communication, proactive initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate is motivated to deliver measurable value to the firm. Success depends on maintaining and continually strengthening a robust, consistent supplier control environment aligned with internal JPMC policies, standards, and expectations.The candidate should demonstrate a methodical and structured approach to vendor management and project management, display a keen attention to detail, demonstrate a focus on quality, high energy, and adaptability in our fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This individual must excel in a team setting, be a strong collaborator, and represent the organization with professional courtesy and expertise, consistently delivering impeccable work.
- Bachelor's degree or Masters degree with major in accounting, finance or economics, business administration, risk management or equivalent experience is preferred
- 8+ years of financial service experience in vendor management / supplier oversight, controls, risk management, or compliance-related functions preferred
- Candidates should be action oriented with a focus on results, display strong analytical skills, be able to assess and clearly articulate complex ideas and possess creativity
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills (both oral and written) are required as the role will interact with JPMC and Supplier personnel at various levels
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ideal candidates would be able to do the following:
- Cultivate professional relationships across a matrixed environment
- Understand key business functions / knowledge of regulations surrounding business and vendor management
- Communicate/ present effectively to stakeholders and partners
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills including collaboration and relationship building
- Work autonomouslymanaging competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output
- Evaluate the operating effectiveness of management and business processes of the supplier organization, making recommendations as necessary
- Ability to collaborate with JPMC Product and Tech teams to discuss / recommend new functionality to enhance the existing customer experience
- Proactively monitor supplier adherence to contractual requirements, policies and procedures and analyze and communicate impact of risks and losses (actual and potential)
- Participate in, and where needed, implement cross functional initiatives to drive change
