Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Director level Senior Technology Manager in Equities Cash Trading platform place in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The team develops solutions for client and market connectivity, order management, facilitation, portfolio trading, market making, algorithmic trading and broad-based quantitative analytics in support of multiple Equity trading desks and asset classes. The ideal candidate has significant practical experience in automated/electronic trading of Equities with hands on knowledge on applications developed in both Java and C++ and a passion for modern software architecture and development practices. You will take on a key role within our Equities Cash Trading Technology team, working with multiple partners across organizations including senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a regional team to build and enhance a comprehensive environment for Equities Cash Trading. Components are built using modern Java and/or C++ along with integration with q/kdb+ for analytics and user interfaces for command and control.
- Partnering closely with the global and regional counterparts to help shape and drive execution of technology strategy.
- Liaising with the Equity LOB to drive a cohesive product roadmap supporting multiple workflows across lines of business.
- Analyzing business requirements, forming an architectural design, overseeing cross team development and testing, and managing production issues.
- Collaborating closely with our Site Reliability Engineering group to achieve industry leading reliability and scalability.
- Developing roadmaps for continuous platform improvement.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in Java and/or C++ development on Linux.
- Expert in building quantitative Electronic Trading applications, with specific exposure to automated on-exchange trading.
- Automation first mindset across the software development lifecycle, particularly around shift-left testing.
- Ability to architect resilient, instrumented, distributed systems achieving world class reliability.
- Familiarity with Agile software development and associated best practices.
- Enthusiastic, strong-minded person able to work closely with project teams in a multi-faceted role and help instill a responsible and professional culture.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical partners.
Desired Skills
- Deep knowledge of Equities/Futures/Options/FX asset classes and algorithmic trading of these products.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for trading in APAC markets.
- Working knowledge in architecting applications for Cloud and/or Containerized Environments.
