Job Description:
This job is responsible for partnering with teams to deliver trusted, timely, and secure data and information products and services that align with the data technology strategy. Key responsibilities include assisting with an inventory of applications in the data flow for bank data domains and supporting their adherence to enterprise and global data and records management standards. Job expectations include implementing transport controls, extracting data sets to perform analysis, remediating data incidents, and promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with various teams across technology and supports the planning and execution of data analysis and reporting
- Prepares and analyzes data to provide stakeholders with business insights to help solve problems
- Establishes tools and reports to support proper testing activities for data flows and maintenance procedures for large scale databases
- Liaises between the business and technology teams to ensure systems and applications support business needs and specifications
- Mentors employees on capabilities needed to obtain and analyze large and complex data sets and teaches domain expertise to understand the business purpose of the data
- Ensures Data Governance and Data Management practices are followed in the creation, consumption, and delivery of data

Role Overview
This role requires deep technical expertise supported by strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This roles core focus will be developing automated tests for regulatory reports, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other critical uses of data across the Enterprise. This role will be responsible for design, development, and execution of data quality testing across various data uses. This will also require collaborating with key stakeholders (business / technology) to support timely completion of testing activities while ensuring adherence to established testing framework(s)/ coding standards.
Candidate needs to be able to successfully operate across multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner. Be able to operate & manage work in a high-stress environment. Proactively identify process and procedural enhancements with respect to testing and testing tools. Be able to engage with Audit respond to Regulatory questions.
Required Job Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Data Testing/Quality, Application Management and/or Data Management
- 3+ years of hands-on experience using Python in developing data applications / backend service / analytics / statistics
- Data ETL, DB development, SQL, Hadoop, Macros, VBAm, Excel/Access, PowerPoint
- Strong data quality knowledge (Accuracy, completeness, timeliness dimensions, data risk mitigation, etc.)
- Strong understanding of database concepts like (views, primary keys, table joins)
- Involvement with Data Transformation and Data Capture testing in Transport and Capture data lifecycle
- Practical experience developing applications while adhering Software Development Life Cycle(s) (SDLC)/Coding Standards/JIRA tracking
- Strong oral & written communication and comfortable presenting to a wide variety of audiences
- Comfortable leading and influencing with and without direct authority
- Resourceful/ proactive in situations when not all information is available or there is no apparent "right" answer
- Strong understanding / experience on Automation tools (UFT / Selenium etc.)
- Capable to navigate conflict to enable productive solutions
- Close attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degrees in technical disciplines i.e., Math, Computer / Data Science, Physics, Statistics etc.
- Working knowledge of Trino, Splunk, Hadoop, AI / ML tools / methodology
- Strong communication / presentation skills
- Banking Domain and Regulatory Reporting Knowledge
- Experience as part of an Audit organization or a deep history of interactions with Audit (Internal and External)
- Basic knowledge of BI tools / Tableau and/or other reporting tools

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$93,000.00 - $135,200.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
