Currently, we are looking for a top-performing Lead Line Cook. $20-$21/hr

We are looking for a skilled 1st Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also essential.

Some Key Areas of Responsibility include:
  • Prepares, cooks, and presents food as outlined in the menu descriptions, build sheets, photos' and/or Server's checks
  • Assist in establishing menu specifications, plate presentation, and creating visual food displays for all outlets
  • Assist in the development and training of 2nd
  • Start food items that must be prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-prepare estimated needs
  • Operate, maintain, and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
  • Fill yet daily temperature logs and food safety
  • Perform weekly and monthly inventories
  • Assist with menu development of core food menu
  • Take lead in daily/weekly food specials
  • Take lead in food prep and assign to other kitchen staff as needed
  • Train new and existing kitchen staff on proper protocols, food safety, and recipes
  • Take weekly inventory of food products and create a suggested order
  • Assist in food prep and execution of catering at the hotel
  • Spearhead daily amenities for VIP hotel guests
  • Collaborate with the bar to prep syrups, shrubs, and garnishes
  • Take charge of "2 go 2 your room" program to generate higher revenue
  • Make sure kitchen and associated storage areas are cleaned to the highest safest standard
  • Assist the bar as a barback for high volume bar nights and/or special events
  • Completion of any other reasonable duties assigned by management
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Ability to work various shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A keen interest in staying on top of culinary trends
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Can communicate well with guests
  • Must be willing to "pitch in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule
  • Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays.
