OverviewThe Admissions Representative is responsible for the admissions process for prospective students into MIAT.
Responsibilities
Specific Functions/Responsibilities
- Arranging Prospect/Family Interview
- Contact company generated leads for prospective student interviews in timely manner
- Conduct proper referral generation activities
- Conducting Prospect/Family Interviews
- Evaluate, interest, desire, motivation, family support, and academic background
- Present the academic and career opportunities available to graduates
- Provide a detailed explanation of the features and benefits available at MIAT
- Finalize and complete application paperwork when appropriate
- Enrollment Management
- Follow-up with applicants to ensure they complete required pre-registration activities (collect documents, financial aid paperwork, etc.) prior to starting classes
- Re-contact "no-shows" for possible transfer to subsequent classes
- Seek referrals from applications, students, and additional opportunities during the course of daily operations
- Weekly Activity Reports and Administration
- Submit all applications and leads generated the prior week
- Update and submit end of week report at close of business daily to the Director of Admissions
- Immediately follow-up on all requests from the Director of Admissions and/or other members of the MIAT leadership team
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation
- Associate or Bachelor Degree required
Experience- 0 years related experience required
- 1 + years related experience preferred
Skills and Abilities- Public speaking experience preferred
- Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast-paced, time sensitive business operations
- Able to work productively and communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty and administrators
- Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and detail oriented
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to deal responsibly with confidential materials
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Must be personable and energetic
- Must be a self-motivator
- Ability to work alone or with a team in an open concept office
Performance Standards- The Admissions Representative will be evaluated on their ability to promote and implement the objective of the school
- Annual review will be done by the Director of Admissions
Working Conditions- Majority of time spent in office environment, sitting in front of a computer or in front of prospects/students
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Must work two to three evenings a week and Saturdays as required
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
