Adolescent Medicine Physician

Children's Hospital & Medical Center, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting Adolescent Medicine physicians. The successful candidate will be motivated to develop collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups including and not limited to our College of Public Health department at UNMC, our community youth centers and our youth detention center. The new Child Health Research Institute established in 2017 can provide start-up and gap funding, and infrastructure for clinical, basic science, or translational research. These combined resources along with many others provide a unique opportunity with unlimited potential to advance a strong clinical and academic career in Adolescent Medicine. Successful candidates will hold a faculty appointment at the University of Nebraska Medical Center with rank commensurate with experience.

Children's Hospital & Medical Center is the only full-service, pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. Children's is home to Nebraska's only Level IV regional NICU and the state's only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. A regional heart center, it also offers expertise in pediatric heart transplantation. Children's is focused on extraordinary clinical care, education, basic science and translational research and advocacy and is embarking on transformational programmatic and physical growth. Opening in 2021, the new Hubbard Center for Children will be home to an additional 100 patient beds, an expanded NICU, a dedicated Cardiac Care Unit, a new Cancer & Blood Disorders Unit, expanded surgical space, an expanded Radiology and Emergency Department and more. Children's is recognized as a 2019-20 Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in five pediatric specialties: Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Orthopedics and Diabetes & Endocrine Disorders.

Omaha enjoys four distinct seasons, along with an exciting metropolitan and a population over 925,000.
