Edelman is seeking an Analyst, Marketing Analytics to join our expanding Data and Intelligence team.

We are seeking an Analyst who will be responsible for paid media analytics across different marketing channels including but not limited to social, search, & programmatic.

This role will gather & aggregate data through both native platforms and BI systems (Datorama & Tableau) with an understanding of how to turn the data into meaningful insights that lead to program changes. The analyst will also understand and define how media optimizations and strategy impact the data, getting to the big picture. The analyst may also be requested to support social listening and website specific reporting.

The ideal candidate should have experience in a cross-functional, collaborative environment and bring a balance of a left-brained analytical fact-finding, paired with right-brained intuition and storytelling to service Edelman's top clients.

Responsibilities of the Analyst, Marketing Analytics:

    • Gather, aggregate, and manage, digital media data for agency clients, including native platform analytics and BI systems, both independently and in support of Managers.
    • Use social media listening tools to turn real-time monitoring data into thoughtful insights/learnings with actionable consequences.
    • Proactively provide recommendations, ensure campaigns are meeting/exceeding goals, and continually analyze campaign to boost performance.
    • Demonstrate research abilities and online conversation analysis to understand the client landscape and support client programs.
    • Develop and maintain client-facing campaign performance reports.
    • Demonstrating diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices.
    • Stay up to date and have an educated opinion on the latest industry trends and pertinent research.
    • Participate in status meetings both internal and external, as well as be comfortable client-facing.
    • Collaborate with teams in Creative, Channel Strategy, Planning, Paid Media, and Business Intelligence to guide decision-making.

Skills and Experience:

    • Have 2+ years of relevant professional experience working with paid marketing data and developing insights.
    • Possess a bachelor or graduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
    • Expertise in working with paid media data through native platforms and BI systems (Tableau, Domo, Datorama).
    • Experience creating connections, mapping, data cleaning and building dashboards within those BI systems.
    • Knowledge of cross-channel performance analytics with technical understanding of web analytics, ad-serving, and data management platforms such as Google DFA, Google Analytics, Marketo, Neustar, Dynata, LiveRamp, etc.
    • Strong knowledge of the social media landscape, including emerging platforms and best practices.
    • Ability to drive the business forward through gathering, maintaining and read out of data.
    • Microsoft Excel skills, understanding and applying Excel Formulae, designing Pivot Tables.
    • Familiarity with digital media planning.
    • An understanding of social listening & database design and SQL, fluency in SQL and/or Python is a plus.
    • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle simultaneous tasks with composure and accuracy, while prospering in a dynamic & fast-paced environment.
    • Strong team player who naturally possesses selfless, amicable, and supportive personal characteristics
