Responsible for monitoring and evaluating product performance and recommends changes to current products based on product results, new trends and market research.


  • Monitor actual product performance in terms of positioning, membership, health care costs, administrative costs, financial performance and provider access against goals and expectations.

  • Assist in the identification of product issues and the development of strategies to improve performance or retire products.

  • Actively participate in the implementation of approved product performance or retirement strategies. Prepare and distribute product performance reports.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Department Summary / Preferences:



  • Lead cross-functional efforts to contribute to group customer sales, implementation, marketing and issue resolution.

  • Package existing and new capabilities in a simple and easy to understand format to enable sales to speak confidently to group customers regarding solution.

  • Partner with many of our largest customer account teams to collaborate on telehealth strategy and operational execution.

  • Work with external vendor to ensure delivery against established service level agreements, compliance requirements, and reporting outputs and analysis.

  • Extract and produce on-going benchmarking data and dashboards to provide insight organizationally on the success of the solution.

  • Monitor solution performance in terms of positioning, membership, health care costs, administrative costs, financial performance and provider access against goals and expectations.

  • Participate in ongoing strategic planning to improve vendor performance, member engagement, employer-customer satisfaction, and solution outcomes.

  • Contribute to large scale product evaluation, to determine solution effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.

" Qualifications"

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.

  • Two (2) to four (4) years in a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of the health care system, health insurance business, and BCBSM internal/external environments.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work on and solve complex products performance issues, determine their impact on the corporationand support leadership for major development activities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects of moderate complexity, analyze a variety of data and develop conclusion recommendations, and business cases that are consistent with BCBSM strategies.

  • Knowledge of BCBSM products, programs, internal systems, data capabilities and external marketplaceinfrastructures and environments.

  • Ability to analyze information from multiple sources and reach solid business conclusions that supports

  • BCBSM business processes, products and key delivery systems.

  • Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.

  • Possess a high degree of motivation which results in developing unique and progressive ideas and strives to achieve a vision which encourages taking calculated risks.
