The Application Specialist - Banking Digital Transformation Program is an entry to mid-level position and serves as implementation and program support for our growing portfolio of Digital Banking applications. Works closely with Business line stakeholders, internal Technology teams, and various vendors and third-party consultants and implementers. Assist with coordinating strategic and technical efforts impacting the successful implementation and performance of assigned applications.

This role assists IT Banking application support teams in implementing change and configuration management, including testing and defect management relating to new product implementations, development releases, upgrades, patches, and other system maintenance as required. Develop an understanding of each digital application's interdependencies with other applications and infrastructure both internally and outside the corporate network.

The position requires the ability to work cross-functionally to problem solve, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, good interpersonal communication, project management abilities and self-motivation. Ongoing knowledge of current and changing business and technological environments, trends and strategy is also important to success.

Responsibilities:

• Support the enterprise change management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) process including providing testing, defect management and release management ensuring appropriate segregation of duties
• Assist in the design and administration of application software configuration to meet the business process design and application requirements
• Write and maintain system documentation, process maps, test scripts, use cases, user stories and root cause analysis
• Participate on cross-functional teams to support and define business and technical requirements, operational processes, application strategy and project/product implementation.
• Partner with business units and teams across IT to remove project roadblocks and accelerate high priority activities.
• Contributes to the tracking and monitoring of overall Digital Banking program portfolio performance and resource management.
• Coordinates project and program activities in support of Digital Banking Transformation Program
• Ability to be creative and think outside of the box to see the whole business picture while maintaining an exceptional eye for detail

• 0-3 years working in a banking or financial services environment with special emphasis on applications implementation, testing, maintenance, configuration, and project management.
• Basic understanding of data at both a functional and technical level in order to troubleshoot and identify potential issues
• Basic knowledge and understanding of hardware and systems software technologies, network infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical people
• Ability to analyze, learn, and apply rapidly changing technologies, and apply them as part of integrated solutions to business requirements
• Basic analytical problem solving skills, planning and organizational capabilities.
• Able to work with strict deadlines and time pressure
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
