The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The successful candidate as Assistant / Associate Professor in Otorhinolaryngology will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education and clinical and collaborative research.
Individuals must demonstrate excellence in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarly activities during their training and practice.
This is a unique opportunity for those interested in academic otorhinolaryngology with a specific interest in general ENT. Fellowship training is optional. This position will be based at one of the Department's hospital-based clinics in the greater Houston area and its main Texas Medical Center office. The position may also involve a limited role (20% or less effort) at the Department's clinic and service line at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License, be board certified or board eligible.
