Work Hours/Shift:

Day Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

Assist in the day to day operations of a clinic in regards to financial management, human resources, clinical quality, workflow optimization, patient satisfaction, and implementation of new corporate initiatives.

Assists the operations manager in all daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned staff to achieve the following:

Ensuring the highest quality of patient care, by establishing and maintaining quality control standards.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with administration, physicians, managers and employees.

Assists staff in understanding/implementing policies, procedures, objectives, for quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and corporate initiatives.

Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.

Works with operations managers and staff to establish and maintain an efficient and responsive patient flow system.

Accurate and timely billing and collections of all charges.

Oversees the approval of office and medical supply inventory.

Ensures Offices are opened and closed according to procedures.

Ability to develop and initiate, in conjunction with local and regional management and administration and physicians, strategies for growth and development.

In conjunction with operations manager, offices are staffed appropriately, by assisting in the recruiting, hiring, providing orientation, development, evaluation, and payroll of medical office staff.

Aids in the recruitment of physicians for HMA in conjunction with Texas Health Huguley strategic plan.

All other daily operational tasks related to physician practice management.

Responsible for achievement of quality metrics in assigned clinics

Responsible for achievement of operational metrics in conjunction with corporate goals.


What You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent.

3 years or more working in a physicians office

Associate degree preferable but not required.

Job Summary:

An exempt management position that assists in the leadership, direction, administration and coordination of all practice activities assist in managing the daily operations of multiple physician offices. Supervises and coordinates staff and activities for clinical sites as assigned to increase growth and refine the practice and its operational systems.

Assists the Operations Manager for the overall business operations of assigned practice sites. Assists in the oversite of all clerical and clinical functions of practice sites while ensuring that the clinical quality and patient satisfaction are of the highest standards. Also responsible for assisting in development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Position carries responsibility in assisting for the new physician and/or new practice start-up operations and coordination moving practices. This individual will also oversee the financial management, purchasing and regulatory compliance while ensuring clinical quality of assigned practice sites.

Day-to-day responsibilities require good use of judgment regarding timely and appropriate communication with Operations Manager, Vice President and staff. Recognizes the need for teamwork and functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team with reporting responsibilities to local and regional administration.
