Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sr, Manager, Global Compensation to join a dynamic HR Team to provide compensation guidance, and support to the organization globally. Reporting into the Director, Global Compensation, this role will support the development of competitive pay programs as well as lead initiatives to evolve our Total Rewards Program in response to global market conditions. As a Compensation Partner, this role will be focused on operational excellence and will Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and other areas of the business to achieve business goals and support key talent initiatives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Total Rewards team to support the development and implementation of innovative global total reward strategies
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management in a consultative manner to develop specific recommendations and creative solutions to attract, motivate and retain key talent
  • Conduct market assessments and participate in salary surveys to ensure company's competitive market position globally
  • Oversee the Market Insights system and provide hands-on support to ensure efficiencies and maximum benefit of functionality
  • Support the annual administration of the compensation program by providing management with advice on setting pay, policy and guideline interpretation, as well as job evaluation
  • Collaborate with HR Systems team on technology strategy, improvements, and enhancements to data integrity and Total Reward systems and tools
  • Continuously review and identify processes, programs or tools that could benefit from automation or enhancements and support improvements to enable greater efficiencies and scalability
  • Support the development of salary structures, job architecture as well as career ladders
  • Support the development of pay policies that are compliant and support the growing organization through benchmarking and research
  • Support research and preparation of materials for People Culture and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Support audit processes and legal reporting to make certain that Alnylam's compensation program are administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Ensure company compliance with local country regulations governing compensation, total rewards, and HR programs
  • Support other HR initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of hands-on compensation experience including plan design and implementation
  • International compensation and pay practice experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • A highly metrics-focused orientation that can effectively analyze a variety of data, draw insights, and communicate technically complex information in an understandable manner
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to work with raw data to provide insights to support business decisions
  • Ability to lead projects and be highly collaborative
  • Experience building and implementing compensation models and solutions
  • Experience in Tableau or similar analytic platforms a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in MS suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint as well as advanced Excel knowledge (ability to perform sophisticated analysis on large data sets)
  • Experience in Life Sciences industry a plus, but not required
  • If employed in the U.S., being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is required
